Explore the timeless world of myth through expressive figure drawing and painting. In this workshop you’ll create your own myth-inspired figure, working from a life clothed model and adding creative mythological detail. 

what you will learn

Explore storytelling, emotion, and symbolism and create a unique artwork of a mythological figure of your choice to take away with you. Learn portrait drawing and painting techniques to capture the model whilst incorporating mythological elements. Practice techniques such as colour mixing for flesh tones, capturing the likeness, portrait composition, narrative and more, all inspired by artists throughout history.

what you will need

All materials are provided so you do not need to bring anything unless there are specific materials you particularly want to use. 

where is the workshop

The location for this workshop is the historic Waterloo Park Pavillion. We will be in the stunning Sandys-Winsch Room upstairs overlooking the beautiful 1900's park. There is parking on site and a lovely café downstairs.
